how do i change aviators name?

Do you mean your Avatar's name? That is the name you chose to be your Yahoo! Answers screen-name.

Start by clicking "My Q&A" on the right side of the page above the Question;
Then, below the "About Me" section under your point total, click "Edit My Info";
There you will find the Nickname section to select the name you'd like to appear or create a new one.
