It just seems so ridiculous that these people are smiling and clapping the same way every business day morning.

I wake up in the morning and I look in the mirror and I realize A BILLION MEN ARE SHAVING RIGHT NOW and it feels good to know you will make money for every Gillette razor sold that day.

I am a shareholder in Procter & Gamble.

I suggest you to open a brokerage account at Zecco (It's FREE) and start making some money and you will smile and clap too everyday.

Usually the people that ring the bell have been invited by the exchange or are employees of a company (that is listed on the exchange) that has had a recent big event. Either way, it's a huge honor to be part of it. The funny part is that even on a bad, down day, they are so excited that they still clap and carry on.

For one thing, it's an ego trip. For another thing, they don't have to make any decisions while they are clapping. It just makes them feel important, and it gives them something to talk (brag?) about.

To me, they look like fools.
