PLYMOUTH SUNDANCE '88 , fuel pump is in the tank or on the tank?

its in the tank, but this one is something you probably don't want to do yourself unless you have some mechanical experience and a good variety of tools.

Your fuel pump is inside the tank on that car. If you remove it for any reason or are replacing it, make sure you replace the strainer while you're there.
