Windows ME runs WIndows Media Player 9, so you can play MP3's on it, and should work with your MP3 player.

Doesn't work with iPods, though. I don't care since I use a Palm as my MP3 player. Works OK with Windows Media Player!

Get UBUNTU or XUBUNTU. They are reliable and up to date operating systems. They are free, and all the programs are also free.
