Why is my daughter's friend KJ so quiet all the time?

is kj a boy or girl? you left a lot of info out here, are you sure you are coherent all the time and aren't just missing something? maybe kj has no one at home to talk to, doesn't get to watch tv, is on ritilin, has bad breath, as you can see, there are hundreds of possible reasons but people that answer questions aren't mind readers. if you thought this was the psychic network, guess again. good luck

Maybe KJ is just shy.
Give KJ time to get comfortable around yourself and/or your daughter and KJ will start opening up and talking more.
Also, if KJ comes over, ask questions to get him/her to talk about themselves. That is another way to get KJ to open up and trying to step out of the shyness.

I was that type and I was just more of an observer, liked to watch people and learn, I also was and could be very talkative and close one on one, try that if your interested. If there is more of a concern that something major or wrong is going on check into for her sometimes kids need help and if you see something noone else is then maybe you should try the one on one and even more just incase, you might find alot of gratitude out of the results or what you uncover and possibly stop or fix, but lets just hope its her personality because more than likely like me I was quite in groups but good one on one anyways I was meant to say that she wouldnt have a lot of friends if she wasnt talking to anyone so they do have personal relationships with her and are just used to her as you will become, good luck Kim

cause she is not talking. I mean some people do not talk. and there is not thing wrong with that. she doesn't feel free talking when you or some other people are around.
