I am bi and I am totally for gay marriage... I live in California and not that long ago a proposition for allowing gay marriage was voted down. I was somewhat upset by this because I couldn't see why there were so many people out ther who would want to ban gay marriage. I then did some research about the proposition and found out some details about it. I found that the proposition was not only for allowing gay marriage, but it also included some special rights that the gay couples would also receive (like tax discounts, etc...) I didn't think that this was right that gay couples could get special advantages over straight couples just because they were gay...
Even though I am bi and have absolutlely nothing against gay people, I think that gay couples should be treated the exact same as straight couples (with no special benefits or rights). I am sure that this is the main reason why the gay marriage propsition was voted down. All I want is gay marriage... without all of the extra "stuff" tha would be included with gay marriage.

I think it should be allowed. I don't feel that because I'm straight I can get married, but that someone that happens to be gay isn't. I don't doubt the level of love or commitment, I think its discrimination. And like any form of discrimination its just ignorance.

I don't understand why everyone is against it either... I mean, suck it up is all I have got to say about it... If you are against gay marriage, well then don't marry the same sex, it's that simple :)

Gay marriage is perfectly correct. What matters is that two people love each other not what gender they both are.

Personally, marriage is sacred, 'till death do us part permanent, and something that should NOT be taken into account without realizing it is a life-long commitment!! Then again, that's just me. Personally, if you and the one you're with are 100% committed, then enjoy the rest of your lives together!! Who am I to say who can and who can't get married to whom?

who the hell cares! this should not even be an issue considering the fact that there are so many pressing issues plaguing our country today: War in Iraq, Health Care, Economy, etc., etc., etc., Go back in the closet and this time shut the door!!
