I am in the mortgage loan business, and I would like to work with some of the best realtors in my area who can refer me business. So, here is my question: I would like to find out the top 30 realtors in my county. I live in Orange County, Florida in terms of who is taking part in the most Real Estate Transactions. Now, let me say first that I'm aware that this information is attainable through the Multiple Listing Service. However I am not a member of the MLS. Can someone help me with this research?

Go to the local board office for the list of the top 100 agents in your area. They will provide the info no problem. Also you need to be at a different realtor sales meeting every week to inform agents of the different programs you can do. The brokers always like to fill their time in the sales meeting with different things to talk about. There is some truth that the top 30 agents have already set up with a mortgage person. You want to try and build your agent contact business up as well as yours. I feel your going about this in the wrong direction. By going with a newer agent who has drive and is a saleperson will get you farther than an established agents. Agents that have been in the business already have contacts that they have known for years. A great idea that has worked very well in my area is putting on a Buyer's Workshop in your area. You need to call it a Buyer's Workshop and not a seminar, people see right through that. You also need to charge something to attend, I charge $19.95 here and get it filled up every other month. Things you give for free have no value to the consumer. You will have an inspector a title person, agent and yourself. You can split the cost 4 ways doing it that way. Don't have the agent be the sponser as the customers will see right through that as well and not attend. Your company needs to be the sponser. Also when people attend and can't get qualified for a loan, you put them on a plan to get them a house. The money collected only goes to offset the cost of the entire thing. Once someone has paid the 20 bucks they can come back as many times as they want. Then when someone buys a house through this program, you advertise their name in the paper and most of the time the paper will run it for free. Don't let the other sponsers or yourself make a sales pitch in the class, speak very generally about all the aspects of the transaction. They will come to YOU during the class to fill out a app. and get pre qualed, but don't make that requirment at all, remember you are there to answer questions and help. They will come to you and the agent because by giving the class they will automatically see yall as the experts. It takes a couple of classes to get the program going. Also remember to go to the other mortgage companies in your area that have different programs than yours, if they can't get someone done ask them to give you a try and you do the same for them. Offer to the agents at the sales meeting to look over any transaction that they have if it is not going through to see if there is anything you can do to save the deal. Be proactive and creative in your sales pitch to the agents and follow up. Anyone who sends you a pre-qual gets put on your list, then if you have someone who doesn't have an agent turn them onto the agent. Go to the MLS meetings and make yourself available for questions that the agents might have. Don't sit in the office and wait for the phone to ring, make it ring. You will get business by not limiting yourself to the top 30 agents in the area. Also try going to the real estate schools to speak with the new agents right before they graduate school. You will be a familar face when they rush out of class and try to get there first transaction done. The thought on all this is to be somewhere everyday of the week speaking with agents about your programs. Once place a day should be your goal. Then go to the office for the rest of the day to get your work done on the deals you already have. Really give the buyer's workshop some thought it has tripled my transactions as well as my mortgage persons, it's a win win situation and it's cheaper than you think. Good Luck expanding your business. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have about any of this, I will be glad to help you get it rolling. patsellskingman@yahoo.com

Well I would say that the top 30 Realtors will already have their mortgage brokers in place, but i wish you luck.
You could walk into any real estate office and they will have that information. I am just not so sure the will tell you.
Good luck,
RE Agent,
