Return the call as soon as you can. If the person you need to talk to is not available explain that you are returning his call about a job and ask when is the best time to reach him.

Most business are aware that you dont sit by the phone waiting for the call, unless you were told when it would be.

I would call back as soon as possible, even a Saturday, this truly shows your interest in the job, if it is a voice mail just leave a short message that you are returning the call. Good Luck

Depending on which industry you are working in, the office may not be open on Saturday. However, if you call and leave a voicemail it will show initiative on your behalf to the prospective employer.

Simply apologize for missing their call and provide times when you are available to talk via phone and in person next week.
