How can Anna Nicole's mother be so heartless as to want to have her buried in Texas and hold up the funeral?

Virgie Arthur, does not seem , to care that her daughter's wishes were to be buried with her son. Also Anna's body is rapidly decomposing and her mother STILL wants things her way! I think this is her way of getting even with Anna Nicole for the disparaging remarks she made about her on ET. Bring it on Mommy Dearest! The truth must hurt!

I agree with Rosemarie. Ms. Arthur can't face her daughter's death so much that she feels that she must get even. This may not be the total and complete cause, but it is a good thought. I'm with you and Rose. She's really heartless and thoughtless, she should think about her wrongful decision and draw a conclusion soon. Anna Nicole's body is rapidly decomposing and her simple wishes were indeed to be buried next to the now-dead, Daniel Smith. It's an easy wish that deserves to be carried out. How hard is it? Anna Nicole never wanted to be buried in her native Texas family plot, she'd never even reached good terms with Texas, she had no intention of being buried there! All I think is she should be buried next to her son, and may she rest in peace, is all.

I don't see it that this bereaved Mother doesn't seem to care about her daughter's wishes. I see it as a mother who is hurting and perhaps who had some issues with her daughter and was unable to close that gap prior to her death and wants to have her close - at any cost now. Obviously, it's too late. As a Mother, I know that we often make many mistakes along the way, thinking that we are doing the right thing for our children. But many don't always recognize that they may be hurting the child for life. Ms. Smith is still a part of her Mother and I am sure took away from that union some things that she may not have wanted. Ms. Smith was definitely a drug user and abuser, and has been for much of her life. Look at her lifestyle. It's not about 'getting even'. There's no getting even when someone is dead. The getting is over with. I think the Mother should have reserved any disparaging remarks - but she had a right to try and have her daughter moved. There is nothing she could gain from that. But - in retrospect - Anna should be buired with her son. The only person I am concerned about is her very young daughter. The adults who are in her life right now will either promote this child into a world of kindness, love and normalcy, or she will become like her mother. Children need stabilty, and love and boundaries. At least she is young enough that perhaps the MEDIA FRENZY (especially from the Insider!) will have gone by the way side and allow her to have a normal childhood. If I were the caregivers, I'd move away from all this. They have flashed this young baby all over the place. I would never have allowed it.

No, shes not trying to get revenge.. I just think she wants her daughter at home with the rest of her family. I personally think that Larry is the Father and that Anna should be buried in California and her son should be brought back to California to be buried by her there. I feel sorry for her Mother. Anna was on drugs for so long that she was never going to work out her differences with her mother. Even Larry Burkhead said that there were times when she wanted her Mom.*

It just goes to show that ANS had reasons to dislike her mom.When I saw her mom on TV after Daniels death I felt sorry for her.But they lack of emotions and the fake tears i saw in the court room made me change my tune about her.She is heartless.As a mom I could not let my child lay there and decompose while I fight for their body.Every time I see pictures and videos of ANS,I can't help but to see her decomposing.It is not fair to let this beautiful woman lay there deteriorating while mommy fights for her remains.She was very evasive regarding monetary gain she has received or will receive.She wants her body so she can take pictures and/or videos of the funeral.Hopefully no one will be heartless enough to take pictures or videos of her corpse.

I have a question of my own.Would we be seeing this frenzy over her body had she died in the bahamas?

Well of course her mother is selfish, but In my opinion she's just really pissed off at Howard K. Stern, and would do anything to hurt him, so she wants her body burried there. Plus she wants to also uproot Daniel's grave and bring him back to Texas. For a mother to make remarks on the witness stand saying she has no money, how would she pay for two bodies to be flown to texas?...Easy, she would make a deal with this family friend who works for Splash Entertainment. She would allow him to come to the funeral take photo's and publish them. And this friend and his company would pay for everything!

Anna Nilcole's mother, like the others is just in it for the money. If you have seen the recent footage of her when she visited her grandson's grave sight, it was obtained by Entertainment Tonight. And when Vergie was asked if she was paid to let the tabloids have that footage, she said she was. In my view, this whole thing is in poor taste.

Mothers tend to be very possessive about their children, in death as well as life. So don't be too hard on her. You never know...-her shoes may fit YOU more comfortably some day.. :)
