I have worked on many different mainframes. midframes and mini computer systems, including DEC PDP 11/40's.

Do you have any programming languages: PL/I, or COBOL?

Do you have VM, MVS, TSO, JCL, all those other goodies from IBM or are you a DEC guy?

I'm asking because there are certainly a number of legacy shops that need people to continue. I would suggest dice.com to find some of them.

If you have some experience with the Microsoft environment, you could bill yourself as some sort of transition guy. Maybe work with Virtual Machines (VM) I'm not sure.

Sad to say, age discrimination happens. Make a functional resume so that you don't list all the jobs you've had - disguise your age. It does list all your skills.

You would be well advised to upgrade your computer skills so that you can show you are relevant to todays IT industry.
