like on Grey's Anatomy and Scrubs they're always doin it even if they're not married or even dating! i mean seriously, doctors aren't really like that are they?

Because if the docs looked like regular guys most women wouldn't watch.

I don't know about the real doctors. On television, however, hardly anyone just wants to watch doctors fixing people. They want to see romance and intrigue and stuff. Also, those things are the reason Scrubs and Grey's Anatomy have such high ratings.

If you watch enough TV you'll see that everyone is made out to be promiscuous. The reason is that the more scandalous the storyline, the more people will watch.
Doctors aren't really that promiscuous. They are normal people.

because sex sells. theres a big market in women that want to see the doctors on greys all buff and sweaty and just as many guys that want to see izzy in her underwear. i don't think its just doctors though..a lot of shows are following that pattern because it gets them better ratings.
