Get a bucket or bowl. Put it on the floor. Take the drainage pipe and lower it into the bucket. The water should syphon out. To stop the water, if the bowl is full, simply raise the pipe. Carry on until there is no water left. The door should now open. This way there will be no water on the floor.

ok you might new pump ,but to get the water out now get some towels on floor this is gonna get wet at bottum on washing machine is a panel that can get removed by a good tug under it is a twist opening give it a twist and whoosh the water is out this is also known as the filter check its clean and put back in if you want put washing maching on again breifly just to get some water and then turn to a spin wash see if empties or not if it still doesn't you need a new pump which are easy to get and fit your hubby will probably sort it out.

stella another thing i did was put to a spin only to see if maybe it clears it too as i had an old washing machine that worked sometimes and not sometimes .

even if you turn your washing off at plug you can open the door after few minutes and remove the clothes put into basin below door and get the clothes out and leave the machine for hubby to sort if you are still not sure.

Don't panic.....Call a service man as the water pump is gone. I asked my husband and he is mechanical and that is what he said. You may have to wring out all the clothes by hand and get a small bucket and get the water out that way. For the water way on the bottom, get a thick terrycloth towel to soak up most of the water and then wring out in sink and dry outside on your clothesline. Pull the plug out also.

Note: When you speak to serviceman, first ask how much the service call will be and to give you a general idea what it will cost if its the water pump. If it is very very expensive, according to how old the machine is, it may pay you to purchase a brand new washing machine. Sears and RCA Whirlpool are my favorite washers. I wish you good luck.

check if the filter (should be a circular plate to twist off the front) is full of fluff or a paper clip or a penny/fivepenny coin (or could be something worse!!!) is there stopping the drain pump working
you will need to empty the water before you can open the door
there will normally be a way to take off the plate right at the bottom at the front of the machine and you could find a tube there to connect onto a drain plug somewhere and let the water out - you need a tray to let the water into until the tray is full then empty the tray and fill it with a bit more out of the tube etc etc until it is all out - -its a real pain Doll

You have something stuck in the drain going out, Or you have a Belt broken that pumps the water out, Or the pump it self, get a repair man to check it out if its under 10 yrs old, Older I would replace it with a newer one, not worth the cost to fix, as something else will go soon.

your filter is blocked so wait till hubby gets home but you could try by opening door and getting clothes out but put plenty of cover down to gather the escaping water

Hi. There is a cover or cap on the outside bottom of your washing machine, open it and clean it out. Put some towels and bowls down first as a lot of water will come out.

The pump may be blocked but if you don't know what to do,you'll have to wait for hubby..If you turn the dial to off,you should be able to open the door and get washing out but be prepared for a flood !!

There should be a filter at the bottom of the machine. you can empty it there but water will go EVERYWHERE! When this happens to our i use loads of towels to soak up the water.your machine won't open until you empty it.
