Try some Chloraseptic Throat Spray. Gargling with some warm salt water may help. Rest your voice for a while - stop talking!
And above all, if it doesn't get better soon (a couple of days, at most) -- see a doctor - you may need treatment! Hope that you feel better soon! :-)

Sore throat is usually due to a viral infection. Gargling with warm salty water or mouthwash can reduce the pain and inconvenience. You can find some good home remedies at http://ailments.in/sorethroat.html

hot tea would help. gargling water with lots of salt dissolved in it will also help. but the best sore throat medicine ive found is this concentrated mouthwash called Dr. Tichsners. you have to mix it with 5 parts water, but its really effective.

A good old salt gargle will do the trick. In the meantime it wont do any harm if you ease up on the talking for a little while.

if you have a fever or the sore throat persists, go see a doctor to make sure it is not strep throat or mono

Try sucking on a few cough drops. Do not try to talk, because that will only make it worse. Drink hot liquids, and put warm towels around your neck.
