I was 35 when I first saw some grey. Not sure if that's average or not, but I suspect it is.

My facial har started to turn noticibly gray around when I turned 30. It seemed like one day it was nice and dark, then the next time I emptied my razor, it looked like salt and pepper piled up in the sink.
