It depends a lot on what kind of lizard it is. And don't say it's a common yard lizard, because depending on where you are, the common yard lizard is a different type of lizard than it is somewhere else. If you got it from outside, that's where it belongs. If you want a lizard, go get a book on different types of lizards, figure out what you want, get a book on how to take care of the type of lizard you want and -then- get a lizard.

If you truly care about that lizard let it go, if you have to ask what it eats and don't know what kind it is, you have no place trying to keep it alive in captivity, and it won't live without the proper diet, environment, and lighting.

you may no longer of have been given a lizard without doing all your analyze first, what variety of lizard is it? some eat stay bait which includes crickets and so on, fruit and veg, additionally they choose water to drink. have you ever positioned a warmth mild in, and is there the acceptable suited bedding/floor ie sand? they choose issues to climb on and so on.

If you captured a lizard, let it go. Different lizards have different requirements and if you dont meet them, they die. Many require special lighting and heat.

They like crickes and lettus and do not give them some think that has fertelizer on it! it will kill them!
also if you have it in a cage make sure you have 1 or 2 heat lames and a big tray of water!
what kind of lizzerd is it?
