how are u trying to xfer ur files, USB??? assuming USB (most common now days_

before connecting your camer to your USB port, look at your system tray, as you connect your camera, keep watching ur sys tray, it should popup a little icon that shows *external hardware* connected (or somn like that). if it does then you have good connection.

open windows explorer (right click START and select Explorer), look for a new drive letter that was added to your system, may be E, or F or G, etc..) but if it shows up, that is where ur picutres are... open it and copy to your hard drive...

your CD should have something there to allow you to copy from the camera to your Hard drive, (make sure you have enough hard drive space as well)

If your downloading from the camera itself, make sure the power on the camera is turned on and that play or view is selected.

Another way is to remove the card and use a card reader.

try downloading the driver for your camera off of the manufacturers website.
