It's worth your time to search the web for upcoming festivals, concerts etc happening in Chicago during your visit. I've been to Chicago 3 times and love that I can walk to everywhere from the hotels I stayed in (The Drake, Embassy Suites LakeFront and Downtown). We walked to the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Soldier Field, The Loop etc.. The only time we got on public transportation was to go to the United Center to watch a Bull's game. My hubby had fun renting a bike and riding over to Lincoln Zoo while I was stuck in seminars! We loved the Architect boat tours, even did an evening dinner cruise. The skyline at night is spectacular! If you're able to, make time to go up either the Sear's Tower or Hancock observation decks during the day AND night. And let's not forget the Magnificent Mile and Diamond District are easily accessible.

Have a great time!

It depends on what you like and who you are with. The Lakefront of course, then a walk down Michigan Avenue to all the shops. the Chicago River(Boat Rides). So many great places to eat.
You can go up in Sears Tower, John Hancock, Art Institute of Chicago, Museum of Television History. Grant Park. Wrigley field.

well, chicago is the best city in the world for places to go to. better than new york. well there is a viewing deck on top of the kancock building (awesome). if u r into shopping, michigan avenue. if you want to take a walk along the beach, chicago has so many beaches and they r a great place for seing the sunrise. there are so many museums like the field museum. make sure you dont leave without trying deep dish pizza. it's way better than the wimpy new york pizza. hope this helps!

Try the aquarium and then take the water taxi to Navy Pier...also the Field Museum right by the Aquarium is featuring the King Tut Exhibit. Grant Park is nice. You might try taking one of the boat cruises on Lake Michigan..You can do this from Navy Pier. Chicago is a great city...Its like New York...only cleaner.

Get downtown near the Sears Tower. Take the bus tour, or a boat tour on the Chicago River.

Great tours!

Depends what you are in to. Downtown is a little touristy, but there are good restaurants/clubs. I like the Bucktown and Wicker Park neighborhoods - the restaurants are VERY good, there are cool bars, it's not cheezy (like other neighborhoods) and it's pretty diverse. If you are looking to stay in the city, hotels downtown are cool, and you can then easily take a cab anywhere...

I would say the Art Institute, a good museum downtown. It's beautiful and close to a lot of hotels, restaurants, etc. go to centerstage.net for things to do.
