You need to use one hand to hold your eye open then with the other hand put the contact in. It will take some time to get used to but you will get it , keep trying.

I had this same problem when I first got my contacts. I just about gave up. Wash your hands and dry them really well (this can cause the slipping) and then open your eye very big and hold down your top and bottom eyelashes and stretch your eye open more. Keep holding like that while with the other hand get the contact at the end of your pointer finger (as close to the end of your finger as you can) and insert. It should work. Don't give up, keep trying, once you do it a few times you get the hang of it.

I wear contact lenses and the very first time that i tried them on I was exactly like you. I found that the easiest way to put them in your eyes is by holding one of your eyes open with your fingers, while putting the contact lens at the very tip of your right index finger. Then slowly insert it into your eyes and move it around until you feel it is secure. After doing this you may need to blink a few times, it will feel weird at first but then you will get to this. Do the same with the other eyes. I have found that more practice makes it easier it used to take me a hour to put one in now a min. Trust me you will get it. Good Luck

When I first got contacts it freaked me out to look in the mirror and see something coming at my eye! Maybe this is your problem too. This is what I would try: put your contact on your right index finger near the top, hold your top lashes with your left middle finger, and put your right middle finger below your bottom lashes and pull down (this will open your eye), then put your contact in the center of your eye, WITHOUT looking in a mirror! If you don't see it happening, it might not freak you out as much and you won't blink. Also I wouldn't look directly at your finger coming towards your eye either! I hope this works for you! Good luck!

be patient, it's always hardest the 1st week, i've been wearing contacts for 3 years now. do this in front of a mirror-take one hand and pull your top eyelid up, on the 1st finger of your other hand place the contact right side up w/a couple solution drops in it so it won't be dry, take your second finger on this hand and pull your bottom eyelid down, line the contact on your finger up with your eye and gently push it together until the contsct is securely inside and then let go.
hope you got what i'm saying-good luck!

I've felt your agitation, honey! I would have to alot almost 20 extra minutes in the mornings just to get them in. Just take your time and a deep breath when you get upset. If you're right-handed, use the left to hold your upper lid and the right to hold the lower lid down. Take your first finger and put the contact on it, then add your solution and slowly bring it to your eye. Act as if you're going to place it in between the actual eye and the lower lid. If it spills, try again! Just be as patient as you can, and soon you'll have them in and out in no time! <3

When I first got mine I swear I tried till my eyes bled..of course I'm just kidding. But the thing that helped me the most was my son looking funny at me and saying "MOM, everytime you go to put them in YOU BLINK!" He thought that was just the funniest thing ever. So I made myself keep my eyes open! LOL Dry your hands off, open em up and pop that lil puppy in there. You can do this. You will be so amazed at yourself in no time because it will only take a few seconds.
Now, how are you at taking them out? I didnt like that either! Got used to it though. I know what youre going through though. Sometimes I just wanted to chuck em and say forget it. You'll get it I promise!!

My daughter had problems too I think she was too nervous and was about to give up when I told her to keep trying and it would be okay. SO the best part was when I called her later she said she had them in and I was happy but the funny part was she said I can only wear them 4 hours today ..and it takes me an hour and a half to put them in so there won't be much time.

well take the anger out on your eye, make your fingers open your eye so wide, that it feels like your eye is going to pop out. if you pull your eyelids far enough away, they wont be moving anywhere.
