If they fit, style wise then the color doesn't have to match. You can wear a different color all together too without looking like a fashion victim.

they can depending on the right outfit. I have this black skirt with this crazy floral embroidery on the bottom, very boho chic, an I wear it with a lime green turtle neck, denim jacket, black tights, and my short mid-calf kind of medium brown colored cowboy style boots. very chic.

yes but i think that if you wear black with brown the brown has to be first and the balck second for example a brown shirt with black jeans, not a black shirt with brown pants.

NO! everyone thinks they do but really its like navy blue and black, truly just a bad combination. (hush hush i've worn a brown belt and black pants once or twice and no one noticed but boots and a dress would be too much.)
