Roger Waters and David Gilmour. Everything was peachy until Roger wanted to become more sociological with the Wall project. It got so bad that they wouldn't even be in the studio at the same time. The album "The Final Cut" reflects the mood and the tension that was Waters and Gilmour.

Roger Waters & David Gilmore. Here's some trivia for ya: Dark Side of the Moon stayed on Billboards Top 200 for 14 years & Syd Barrett was a founding member of Pink Floyd & left after their first album never to share in the fame Or fortune. Alan Parsons mixed Dark Side but never found the same success with his group The Alan Parsons Project.

The original songwriters were Syd Barrett and Roger Waters. David Gilmour joined Pink Floyd in January of 1968 and took over the songwriting/performing duties of Barrett, whose mental health was declining. Waters left the group in December of 1985.

Yes, Gilmour is one, there weren't really two main songwriters, depending on what era you mean. But the others are Nick Mason, Roger Waters and Richard Wright, and originally the late Syd Barrett until the late sixties.
