Like everyone else said, it's true. The borders were from wars. Although, the U.S's states are bordered by rivers and such. This could also be possible for Countries. Treaties from wars Will give land let's say.. like the U.S. Independence, the U.K gave America all the land from North America in which they had originally owned.. the 13 states. Anyways, countries boundaries are made from treaties from wars, and from that, rivers, lakes, or bodies of waters and possibly islands [such as East Timor apart from Indonesia.]

usually borders are arranged along natural features or settlements or whatever, but at the end of occupied rule someone usually gets a ruler out and just draws lines and goes home. look at africa, more straight lines than you can count, all determined by the european powers when they left.

In my point of view its quite straight forward it is to separate or segegate one from another when in fact this is one world filled with one human race of many distinction, one world, one God, one world, together we aspire together we achieve any who want separation is prejudice in their thinking, for he who sacrifice himself on the cross died for all of us. the whole world is one.
