Just wondering what some good research topics could be for the Grapes of Wrath?? I was thinking about Dust Bowl but it just doesnt sound interesting enough!!! Any idea's are appreciated!! Thanks!!!!

Dust bowl is kind of broad, narrow it down a bit.
Suggestions:
Migration of people to California
Farming practices that led to the erosion of land allowing the dust bowl to happen
Effect of bank foreclosures on the ownership of land affected by the dustbowl
The Dust Bowl as a metaphor for the Great Depression.

One topic that might be good to explore is the degree of socialism that pervaded the country back during the Depression, and make a value judgement whether that was a good thing or not based on the incidents in the book.
