Let the fool go... if he comes back again, then it's harrashment and he can get in trouble... make sure you document the time of the incident, summery of what was said and a discription of him if he does come back.

It appears that you had a point refusing his request on the faceplate issue, however, it was your responsibility to be professional. What if the guy was dangerous? Going the racial, name calling route could have cost you your job. Was it worth it? It's not clear who might get in trouble but you certainly can if the "customer" complains about you.
If he was being unruly, you should have called store security to escort him out. Part of working in a customer service type of profession is having a 'thick skin". You can't make everyone happy and there will always be a dissatisfied customer.
Avoid the confrontation next time a knucklehead walks into the store. Stick with the rules and store policy. Don't add to the problem.

Well i think you did the right thing nice one one man and yes you can easily get him in trouble. But the way you dealt with this situation was very profesional normaly people would make things worse by swearing. But if you know his address just tell the police about it and you can take him to court but no point in doing that they dont really do all that with these situatuion so do what you feel is right.
Ooops sorry mate that narukakakage4 is me i just used the wrong one but since i came ill tell you this i read in the news paper some guy made a racist comment and when he was taken to court the judge just told him not to do it again and that was all it he didnt go to prision no fine no warning just dont do ti again and thats all it. Thats why im saying dont bother.

Racism hate and intolerance are a plague on our society. My mother always told me two wrongs don't make a right. It's hard to know what was the right exact perfect way to handle your problem with the "racist" but fighting racism with tolerance and hate with love for fellow man can go along way in making this society a better place for all. Good luck in the future and I hope your find love or least tolerance for those Jacks that inevitable pop out of the box.

You as an employee did not do the right thing. But if you were on the street, I think you would have been right to stand up for yourself. Next time, tell him that you will contact security and have you removed if you don't act appropriately. Or you can give the number to management so that he could take the issue up with them. Never allow yourself to compromise your own professionalism. Sometimes if you act like them, that escalates the situation to a whole new level. Angry people sometime act very irrationally.

I think you did the right thing and I would not pursue attempting to get him in trouble.
Racism is a serious issue. So sad to say after so many years of ignorance. People like this who scream racism whenever they do not get their way are part of the overall problem, not the solution.
Steer clear of these fools at every opportunity. Telling him to shove off and take his BS elsewhere was exactly what I would have done.

You should have called security and explained to them what happened and then let your manager know what happened also or else the guy will probably lie about what happened and said you were being the racist. Even though it has already happened I would still let your manager know about it.

Where as being a racist is certainly not a crime, I think you do not want to be seen as an ignorant lowlife by your peers or associates, so you did the right thing and don't sweat this, it's an isolated incident.

What you should have done is called mall security and had his a$$ hauled out.While in retail "the customer is always right," they have no right to disrespect you.You probabaly cannot get him in trouble but unfortunately,he could possibly get you in trouble.Make sure your co-worker will be your witness just in case something like that happens.
