"House of Pain" by Faster Pussycat. Because its a song about a guy whos father was never there for him. It goes/ Its a little past suppertime, I'm still out on the porch step sittin' on my behind, Waitin for you. Well I hope everthing is alright. Mama says come in boy, don't waist your time. I said I got time, Well he'll be here soon. Well I was 5 years old and talkin to myself. Where were you, where'd ya go, Daddy can't you tell, That I'm not tryin to fake it, and I aint the one to blame. Well there's no one home, in my house of pain. I didn't write these pages, but my scripts been rearranged. No there's no one home in my house of pain....... Wasn't I worth the time? A boy needs a daddy like a dance to a mime, and all the time, I looked up to you.... I paced my room a million times. But all I ever got was one big lie, the same old line. How could you?..... Well I was 18 and still talkin to myself... Where were you, where'd ya go. Daddy can't you tell.... That I'm not tryin to fake it, and I aint the one to blame. No there's no one home, in my house of pain. I didn't write these pages, but my scripts been rearranged. No there's no one home, In my house of pain.... Well if I learned anything from this, it was, how to live on my own.

For me, it has to be Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Judy Garland. It was my grandma's favourite song, we used to be so close when she was alive and there isn't a day that goes by when I don't miss her.
When I was younger, it was Will You Still Love Me in the Morning by Keith Harris/Orville. When my dad was in the RAF he was posted to the Ascension Islands and I played it at least twice a day until he came back. Bit sad when I think back, but I really loved the lyrics (but then I was 7).

There's an old song called "The Freshman" by The Verve Pipe. It's been a long time since I've heard the song but it's one of those songs that bring a smile to your face every time you think of it. The song is meaningful to me because it reminds me of my first love......:)

With or without you, because it makes me realise how much at a loss I'd be without the people close and dear to me. Makes you appreciate those people more than you think.
Everybody's Free to wear sunscreen. Someone I consider very close to me introduced me to it when I was feeling confused and down and it's so logical and makes sense that it reassures you. Simply read the lyrics and it just makes life make sense and you think "ah, life's not as bad as I thought even if it's not perfect"
