CARBURETORS IS OLD TECHNOLOGY--BUT IT IS EFFICIENT. PRO STOCK CARS USE CARBS AS DOES NASCARS--THEY DO A DECENT JOB. TOP FUEL USES FUEL INJECTION-AS DO HIGH END SPORTS CARS. FUEL INJECTION MORE FUEL EFFICIENT THAN A CARB. FROM A PERFORMANCE STANDPOINT A CASE CAN BE MADE FOR EITHER.. SOME SANCTIONING BODIES DON'T ALLOW FUEL INJECTION BECAUSE THEY ARE AFRAID OF ELECTRONIC INTERFERENCE ( CHEATING). FUEL INJECTION IS ON ALMOST EVERYTHING MADE IN THE LAST 20 YEARS THERE IS A DISTINCT REASON-- FUEL EFFICIENCY. THEY ARE ALSO BETTER IN HIGH ATTITUDE PERFORMANCE THAN A CARBURETOR. THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY WILL USE THE MOST EFFICIENT FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM AVAILABLE-- FUEL INJECTION--THIS IS NOT A ASSERTION- FACT.

Neither. A carb will produce just as much outright power as injection. It's just with the the carb it can be tricky to get the optimum air/fuel ratio at all revs and load, it's usually a compromise. Pefect at some revs but slightly out at others.
Injection, if mapped properly can get the ratio spot on at all revs and load and can also compensate for other factors such as water and air temp.

You are correct, but you can create high power with either one. It is alot cheaper to build a Carb, but it waste a lot more fuel too. So, it is up to you, a lot of the high powered drag cars now a days are all fuel injected. They can create a more stable power range by doing this. But it is very expensive, and also requires a lot of Tech support. So, I guess it just depends on your Technical level, and also your pocket book. But, I still like using a Carb if I am building a muscle car. The choice is yours.

I'm sorry but dodgeman is flat wrong. If you could make more power with carbs then all the top fuel cars in drag racing would have them but no,they are all injected,All formula one cars are fuel injected also,if carbs were better, wouldn't Ferrari put them on their cars?I don't think it's a money issue.

Power and efficiency are the same answer in this question. (fuel injection is more efficient and will produce more power)

no,a carburetor will produce more horse power ,than any fuel injection will ,it has more air flow and will create more vacuum also, and this increases flow to it,,some of the higher dollar fuel injection systems are almost as good, but there not any better than a good carburetor, good luck i hope this help,s.

A carburator will produce alot more horsepower.... those 1000+ HP dragsters use carburators..... for serious HP you have to use carbs.....Dodgeman is right!! how many years experience do you have??????
