k, ive tried desperately to understand this poem, n each time i come up with a brand new idea abt each stanza, very confusing! it's complexity lies in its simplicity, spent hrs trying to solve it like a puzzle n afraid of giving a wrong meaning as it's very important, anyway ur answers are greatly appreciated.

cummings loves to mess with your mind--that's why you are feeling that way.
How about I just look at that phrase "love is thicker than thought"
Thought, thinking, is hard when you are in love, when you feel or think about love. "love is blind." In times other than romantic love, love makes choices difficult, actions weightier (thicker).

Just take a phrase & think it out like that.

I always say ... a poem means what it means to the reader, and nothing else.

Go to the library and get a reference book called Poetry Criticism. It is a multi-volume set with academic criticism and analysis.
