You won't know who informed on you. Social Services will keep their names confidential. So you'll have to suffer under the stress of an anonymous tip-off, while the informant sits back and enjoys the misery they're causing you. Nice of them, isn't it?

Dealing with Social Workers is a nightmare. They really are awful people and they know they have total power over you, so they'll play these sadistic games with you.

If you've done nothing wrong, you've nothing to worry about. Good luck, hope this problem is over for you soon.

Firstly do not go and confront the person(s) that you think made these accusations.
I suggest you sit down and think very carefully about the situation that exists between you and this other party,by this I mean you have some sort of history that leads you to think that they are responsible, so write it down clearly and in some sort of order, noting any arguments, confrontations etc that may have passed between you,I would imagine that social services will contact to arrange an interview,be as honest and as calm as you can be when dealing with them, state your reasons for believing why the accusations were made,(they will not confirm who made them so don't ask).
It's not much of an answer I know but when false allegations are made half the battle is how you deal with it ,shouting swearing & and pointing fingers isn't the way forward.
Best of luck

There are always those people who manufacture reports of abuse, cruelty and many more issues, you only have to read the papers. However, we must not forget the cases that hit headlines either. Before you approach anybody you think has made such an accusation, you must be sure because they will be able to deny and possibly, if you are wrong, sue you for defamation or libel. Just wait until the Social Services call on you and show them how you look after the children; that should be enough.

You tell social services just that. That the accusation if false and you believe that person is responsible. Social services are still obliged to investigate. If you have some problem dealing with this citizens advice or a local law centre would be able to advise and possibly help

Let them come and look at your house. If everything is in order than you have nothing to worry about. When they are there let them know that you believe that this was reported because someone wanted to get even with you. They can tell when it is a false report. What ever you do, do not lose your cool. It's there job. It is not personal. They have to check every complaint out in case it is not a false accusation. Good luck.

If I was in your situation I would be seeking the advice of a solicitor or from citizens advice. You can only point the finger if you are absolutely 100% sure this person is responsible. Either of the two legal parties mentioned above will be able to advise you and send in a letter to the Welfare explaining your suspicions, but they would know exactly what to say and what wording to use.

I wish you the very best of luck.

I was in that situation once. You just have to go with the flow of the system. If you haven't done anything wrong, then don't worry about it. Just do what they say and after a month or two, the case is closed. It's unfortunate that we have such people in the world that think revenge through the social system is such fun for them. Stay away from the people at all costs that you think caused this problem for you.

you ring child services up and they tlak over the problem ,they are obligied to follow up every call so don't get angry with them.
they also know if the calls coming in all the time look like false accusations but people can ring in anonomously so they can't even find out who it is.
i had one in my last house but i was getting calls made to the council about rubbish in my back garden (not true) and the kids it was checked out by them but it was a riduculous allegetion about my kids running around dirty they came out and seen it was bull but told me every time they got a call they had to check.
Because i had two incidents against me that definatley where malicious i reported to the police what had happened but thankfully it stopped happening ,oh i had few deliveries sent to my house from a pizza place and chinese.

Wait see what happens if it gets frequent see the police they have more power to check phone lines etc.

The school that your children attend will be contacted and the senior pastoral professional will be interviewed for information, your GP will also be contacted along the same lines. My advice would be to respond to all enquiries and visits with absolute openness, answer all questions put by these professionals with utter honesty. Please remember that it is better that your local Social Services are doing something rather than ignoring the report. If you have nothing to hide then there is nothing to be worried about.
