--It may indeed be difficult if in fact you want to really advance in gymnastics!
--In performing any tumbling in free-x routines , it could be very dangerous if one would hesitate in a transition.
--If you are talking fun or recreational gymnastics, just maintain doing the simple roles--with more speed, cartwheels with fast action and round-offs with power.
--Doing routines with moves in tumbling that you have good confidence. Put the moves together in different order so that you master the simple moves in any order, with hardly the thinking of them.
--Try the more difficult back summersalt or front summy off a diving board at a pool etc.
--What ever moves or routines you do try to always do with great form, this will give you better action and movement.
--As a former still rings champion in college--I had routines that were C level (highest rate some 40 years ago) All my moves consisted of very difficult combinations. But , I had a fear of tumbling that I could not shake no matter how I tried. So my dismount was in the A category and not very demonstrative.
--You may have better success, I think I have some kind of tumbling handicap - I seem to lose all perspective when I am upside down with out holding on to my rings or anything for that matter.
--What-ever , have fun no matter how far you advance, that is the beauty of the sport.
