Also you could wear a skirt and leggings and do your hair very nice.

Your mom is right not to let your wear shot skirst and stuff. Dressing sleezy attracts the wrong boys and shows a different side of you. People might thing your just all about the looks and showing the skin. But be yourself! A guy should like you for you. But its still important to look nice! just not sleezy...ok? And im one grade older than you so I know you dont want to be the one known as the sleezy girl. Once your older you find out that boys become different... like they are more attracted to girls as in more perverted. And look at it this way, some guys dont like the sleezy type so be yourself...sorry if this info dont work for u.

well, I think your mom is right and anyway if your in 5th grade I don't think that you should be trying to get a boys attention. I mean your still a kid. you should dress modestly and you can still be beautiful. plus, if the boy does like you it should be about who you really are not just what you look like.If you really wanted to you could wear a nice mid calf skirt and layered shirts which look really cool. though it is winter, where i am anyway. for winter you could try those layered shirts with a longer skirt or nice bootcut pants. there are also really cool sweaters out there too. hope this helped. :)

Omg... dressing sleezy to get a 5th GRADER'S attention! Well i guess things have changed sincei was in 5th grade... u dont need to dress sleezy to get a guys attention. Just be yourself there is someone out there for everyone. Plz dont be a lil skank dressing in skimpy clothes its just stupid,

ok i'll get this out of the way "Young lady, you are in fifth grade and SHOULD NOT be interested in boys!!!!" and in all honesty, you're in fifth grade, you wouldn't have much for the tank tops and short shorts to show off, would you? not to be insulting.
now: you should dress like a popular person, like abercrombie, hollister (they do, in fact, make things that aren't completely slutty), because fifth grade guys (sorry to break it to you like this) don't really like girls yet. So they're gonna "like" the girl who they perceive as more popular, because this will, in turn, make them more popular in the eyes of their fellow boys. so i would say polo shirts, like jeans with maybe a couple rips ONLY at the knees, screened t-shirts, pacsun has good t shirts.

Well I'm also in 5th grade and you know that sometimes just like helping them if they can't find something or recomending a book can show them that you want to become friends and don't rush into it, never helps.

All you have to do is flirt with them.5th grade boys are not really that hard to figure out so just find a cute boy find out what he really likes and flirt with him it's not really that hard at all.

You could wear some cutee jeans or capris.
And there are plenty of tops out there that are CUTEE that arent tank tops.

When i was in fifth grade i had 2 boyfriends and i got them by being friendly, kind, graceful and most importantly myself.
