anyone know how to light the pilot on a floor furnace?

Have tried from underneath, but there really isnt enough room to get in there and see what I am doing... Can I light it through the sight glass?...

Probably not, I use a match held in a holder made of wire. Without knowing your specific furnace, I can't say for sure though, is the sight glass removable? if so, do it that way.
