its the most popular genre of music today. it has surpased all forms of rock. it makes more money than any other type of music in history. when will you stop hatin?

People don't hate on it becuase of all of that, they hate on it because it's mindless and almost all of it has no meaning to it. The only thing I listen to is hip hop and R&B and I have to admit that the music today IS NOT the same as before. The only topic they talk about is sex, gettin money and showin off things that most of them don't even have. If you compare an artist of today like Rich Boy (who's doin it big wit his dumba** song "Throw some D's) to an artist of yesterday like Nas, you can hear the difference! Truthfully the only good song on the radio today is "Runaway love" by Ludacris ft. Mary J. Blige. It's the only song that actually has a message for young people other than "Get money by hustlin and have sex with as many people as possible". It's conscious filled and it's way ahead of it's time. So to end this off, I don't blame the people that "hate" on our music becuase they really don't know about the music of the past generation. Hopefully this is just a phase that hip hop is going through and maybe sometime in the near future we will start to hear good music again.

I'll like it when it disappears forever. It's not music. It's not poetry. It's mindless babble for those who lack creativity & intelligence. It was born in the Ghetto & should stay there with the ignorant idiots who think violence & drugs are a lifestyle. The only reason it makes money is because of your limited brain power. Ever seen an intelligent rapper. Most can't even mumble english & those who think it's anything other than what it is should go live in the ghettos with them. We don't care if you get shot or your girlfriends get raped. You're all a waste of skin anyhow.

It may be the "most" popular with kids today because kids most kids today dont have any self esteem and havent been taught any kind of values. Most of the rap I have heard talks about "bitches", "hos', killing and isnt fit for anyone to listen to. I heard a very successful black man say one day that rap music has destroyed the young black people of today's society and he is absolutely correct, but not just the black kids, its all kids.

stop glorifyin women as sex objects and stop talkin bout wantin to kill everyone thats "not down with your set"...but until then, there can be no peace and rap is gettin lame...its like my grandma says "all ya gotta do is repeat the same line for 3 minutes and you can have a hit"...theres no talent to it, no real instruments are played...all they do is talk over a beat, and half the time its not even theirs...should i go on with reasons or can i stop?
