Yes, it may take awhile for the pregnancy hormones to build up enough in your system to be detectable by a home pregnancy test. I took one when I was two weeks and again at three weeks pregnant and they both came out negative. When I still suspected that I might be pregnant I went to the doctor for a blood test. At four weeks pregnant the doctor was finaly able to tell me. I then went home and took another test (just to be sure) and it came out possitive. The biggest clue is your breasts. Are they swollen and sore? Mine were from the very first week of pregnancy. A blood test, or waiting a couple more weeks for a home pregnancy test, would be your best bet. Meanwhile, you should cut alcohol, nicotein, and ibuprophen out of your diet. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter. They won't hurt you to take them if your not pregnant. Good Luck!

Yes. Most pregnancy testscan't tell you a correct answer unless your periods 5 days late. There is a few early pregnancy tests though, and even those aren't 100% by any means. When I thought I was pregnant with my youngest son I took one of the early tests and it showed negative when I was about 4 or 5 days late. Then I waited until I was a week late and took one again, and it showed a very faint positive. I ended up taking 5 tests until I showed one with a definite positive response. I would just wait a couple days and try again, or go to your OB/GYN for a blood test. Good luck!

Yes you could still be pregnant. It depends on if you hcg level was high enough for the hpt to detect. The ept test you level has to be at least 40. It is possible that your not far enough along for it to detect it. The other thing could be stress. Stress can do some terrible things to your body. Give it a couple of days and if you still don't start take another test.

I'd say maybe. You are supposed to use your first morning urine. It's more potient or something like that. And if you are only 3 days late there's a chance that you may just skip this month, if you have had stress, which has happened to me. Or you could be pregnant. Just wait for a week or two, if still not having your period, then take another test. Hope this helps you out.
