No, don't bow down and give up. We don't appreciate weakness any more than you do amongst yourselves. But both sides need to come to their senses and just get over it.
I can't speak for all women, but here's what I'm looking for, both in a man and from the world. I would like for people to recognize that I am fully capable of protecting and providing for myself, and that I am fully deserving of the same opportunities men are. I should be paid equally and afforded every opportunity to succeed. People should never assume that I can't make the tough decisions because I'm too girly.
Also, I should never have my feminine qualities written off as weakness, even the not so friendly ones such as PMS and cramping - those are hormonal and largely unforgiven, yet many men expect us to roll over because men have strong sexual urges? (I hear that all the time - it's hard to resist, we have such strong horomonal urges!) Give me a break, no double standards please! There is nothing wrong or weak with being a woman, feminine qualities have their place and are an asset to many situations. There should be nothing wrong with me being feminine - and if a man chooses compassion in a situation instead of brute force, he shouldn't be considered weak or less of a man either. Both masculine and feminine traits should be recognized as valuable, and we should both stop putting each other down.
At the same time, if I should choose to have children, I do not want to be looked down upon for having a man provide for and protect me. When children come in to play, they come first.
You know, most other species on this earth have it figured out. The female and male go their seperate ways, provide for and protect themselves, but in mating season they pair off and coexist with one taking care of the other. It's important to note that there a few species out there where the male takes care of the young and the female hunts - human males shouldn't be discounted if they choose to be homemakers. I commend them.
I just don't think we should be looking so far into this. I value my personal unique qualities, both my masculine and feminine ones. Everyone should do the same. :)

not really, bowing down to them will only allow them walk all over you. then if you try to say anything then they can use this as an excuse to fight. my fiancee says that she fights with me so much because it's the only way to get my attention sometimes. so if she thinks that you have become complacent or are taking her for granted then she will pick a fight. so i think there is no real way not fighting ever. you gotta take the good with the bad. the bad makes the good that much better.

I don't think either gender should bow down to each other, they should walk together.
I don't need a protector or a provider. I have a friend, campanion, lover, and partner.

I seriously think that if men bow down to women, then they are no longer men and deserve to be fought with. Women have no right being the head of any guy but can be a partner and equal but NOT over him. Women are not smart enough to stop fighting guys, and until they learn their right place they will always be in the wrong and have problems with men

Women want men strong enough to take care of their children, and them, if need be. Yes, women now work in highly professional fields, yet they still want the security of having a men tough enough to compete in the highly competitive work place. In other words, women don't want sensitive, wimps who will get eaten up in the competitive work world, thus leaving the work responsibility to her, and most likely leaving the child raising responsibility to her, and paying the bills to her. This would, of course, end up in divorce. Bottom line, women don't like and don't trust wimpy men.

Wishful thinking on your part.
Women don't want to be alone either but once they have a taste of education and independence they are not so easily wooed.

I guess us guys are lucky that most women aren't so sexist as your average feminist.
And please, if any feminist tells me that feminism is about equality then it is not feminism, it is humanism. Feminism is about females, hence the catchy name.
