Hey,
Yes, you can , but it is better not to use it cause it might cause a little problems , the computer will get slower and fragmentation gets slow too, so it is better to leave it to do its work

Best regards

Chulan

You can, but it would be better to have the computer doing as little other stuff as possible while the defrag is in progress.

If the defrag on your computer takes a long time, try starting the defrag at night, right before you go to bed, then let the machine sit overnight while defrag does its thing. Unless your system is REALLY old and slow, it should be done by morning.

If you do have a really old system, just give it a little more time and a little more help. With my old 98 box I had to turn the screensaver off, turn all the power saver settings off, start the defrag, turn off the monitor, and THEN let it run overnight. Even then, sometimes I'd be up and have breakfast before it was done.

If you have XP, an overnight defrag should be no problem at all. Good luck ... not that I think you'll need it, but I hope this helps.

yes but i wouldnt recommend it since the programming is reading and writting mass information to the hard drive, and your reading and writing at the same time, slowing down the defragment of the hard drive, so when your defragmenting just start the process and leave the machine alone till it finishes.

yeah, but you probably shouldn't touch the computer while its defragging since its moving files. it will work better and quicker if you don't play with it while its defragging.

YES YOU CAN !!!!

But it might give you a jerk for a while. Probably not noticeable, but your internet connection will stop responding and / or disconnect for a moment if you are using a client to connect to the internet.

Yes, just minimize the page and continue what you were doing. It will let you know when it's done.
