Actually, most neoconservatives don't pretend to be Christian because many of them are actually Jewish. William Kristol, Paul Wolfowitz, Douglas Feith, and Richard Perle have never pretended to be anything but what they are, ideologues who believe that it is a legitimate to use military power to force other societies to become democratic. The neocons generally don't care much about gay marriage or abortion, although some of them will pay lip service to these issues in order to get the evangelicals on their side. Their issue is foreign policy, and with it the radical notion that the US should use it's military power to change the world.

I don't understand why so many of you are trying to put down Christin's, or has it became a national past time? sure there are bad people in some of our churches, there are also bad people in our political offices , police force, all businesses, and in every aspect of our lives, sometimes I wonder if there is any thing any where that is honest, but, all in all .we didn't have school shootings , nor queers demonstrating in our streets for equal rights etc, same sex marriages, and to may other sick occurrences in our country until our gov, (Supreme Court)abolished prayer and teaching of god and decency in our schools
our schools taught right from wrong, and how to live in a civilized society, now our people don't have any conception of right or wrong , how can you expect any thing different , every one needs to have something to believe in ,and taught the difference in
good and bad, so how can anyone say Christin's even tho some are bad, are not a good influence on our children and people,

I'd take a couple of seconds to think if I were you.

The worse "pretend Christians", by far, are the Episcopals, Unitarians, modern Presbyterians, and Jimmy Carter's "Baptists."

All of them are kowtowing to political correctness and making a mockery out of the Christian faith.

Whose side are you on?

Compared to them, the worst neo-conservative is akin to Mother Teresa.

They like to "think" that if they belong to a Christian Church everyone will respect them for it but they do not realize that they are just being hypocritical!

To fool the evangelicals and the like. Neo-conservatives are traitors to traditional conservatism and are abominations to the human race.

Because some people believe that if you say you are Christian it means you are moral.

That way they don't have to think about anything. They just vote for Bush, or his replacement.
