For your information (and I was just told about this) most of us want a FAST computer which means at least a 1.83 Ghz chip. Up until recently NO laptops were available beyond .750Ghz but these new chips (processors) create lots of heat and therefore require a fan or sometimes two fans and LOTS of space to dispel the hot air.

This is easy in a desktop, simply by putting everything in a MID-TOWER box rather than a mini. But with laptops we want them as thin and light as possible. So it is a COMPROMISE.
