If it's healthy, it's not supposed to hurt so much. If it is this painful, you need to fix it or dump it. If he's not willing to work on it, you can't do it alone.
Believe me, there is happiness out there but it takes sack to go for it. If you gather up the guts, you'll see that you are a stronger person than you knew. Good luck. And remember, it takes TWO to make it work.

I ask, ans ask, myself this same question time and time again, and still have yet to no the anwsers. I think as women it's only natural to want to be needed, to be held, to have babies w/ a great man, you know to have that happily ever after fairy tail life, we all dream of it as little girls, and our mom's make it seem as we could someday conquer the world and all our dreams will come true. Then we grow up and all that we dreamed about, has become the impossible, but we never give up the hope that someday our prince charming will ride up on his black stallion, and carry us away from all the hurt. pain, and disapointment, into the sun set.
So thats why it hurts, everytime, we get bucked off that horse, the other girl gets him first, everytime something goes wrong all thoes dreame we had as little inosent girls are crushed, no matter how old we are.

Marriage is a legal institution. It cannot hurt, it has no feelings. Love doesn't hurt, but we can choose to feel pain when someone we love does things we don't like. That's not love though, but disappointment, anger, betrayal, etc (hurtful emotions).
If you are feeling pain because someone you love is doing things you dislike, then talk to them about it. If the situation cannot be rectified then perhaps you should choose to love yourself more, and divest yourself of the person or situation that is hurting you.

Because its not normal. I would like to be with one person but odds are i'm not gonna get it. We live in a materialistic and competitive society. So the ultimate challenege and reward is getting a mate. By getting married you are (supposedy) giving that up for good. It usually hurts b/c the other person has not lived up to their end of the bargain. So **** 'em and just get a pet. They are more faithful anyway.

If there is mutual respect and caring in the relationship, then it won't hurt. Hurt is introduced when the people in the relationship stop caring about each other's feelings and stop respecting one another, and instead are more concerned about their own needs. If that is the case, then you should move on and find someone who will respect you and treat you they way you deserve to be treated.

They don't. It's misplaced self-esteem and unreasonable expectations that hurt. Yes it does make you sad when a relationship ends, but if you realize that life goes on and something better will come along, you get over it and move on.
