I recently discovered my married co-worker has a much younger lover whom she keeps on the side. She helps with his expenses, etc. Is this becoming a growing trend?

I admit, I chuckled when I read your question. Is it BECOMING popular?? When hasn't it been popular?? Men and women have kept lovers since time began. Throughout history married women have kept young, beautiful lovers on the side. Having the means to support him (or her) or at least help out a bit, ensures that he will have plenty of free time when she is available, and keeping him somewhat dependent on her good-will discourages him from roving into other pastures when she can't be around. She knows he will always be dressed and groomed in the style she finds most attractive, because she buys his clothes, takes him to her hair stylist and so on.
Most really well-off benefactors want convenience, comfort and privacy, so his rent is supplemented on an apartment which suits her tastes and comfort level.
Lovers have always been around, but like anything else they go in and out of style. They're very much in style right now, the ultimate accessory to have on your arm at the right parties, so that may be why you're hearing so much about it just now. In a few years fidelity may become fashionable again, and back into the shadows they'll go.

When a Married Individual decides to take a Lover on the side, something is terribly missing in their relationship. He/She is not making things better with her/his husband/wife if they are cheating. It does seem to be more common now a days for women to do what men have been doing for years. Where are one's Morals. If one is unhappy in a relationship, then get the H*** out of it. Cheating on your Spouse with the possibility of bringing home STD or even worse AIDS, is a High Risk factor to take..

Unfortunately its becoming a growing trend for men and women to do.. instead of fighting for the vows they took, their using their vows as a matter of convience to them instead of living by them day in and day out like they are suppose to, funny thing is , God doesnt care about trends... aldultery is adultery any way u look at it, theres no excuse for it.. plain and simple.. and my feelings are if ur not mature enough to make that commitment and mean it, then u have no business being married..

Talking from experiance you'd be shocked at the number of married swinger couples. It's a popular community that pretty much is on the dl. If it's ok from both husband and wife let them have fun. If it isn't amutal agreement that's wrong. Having other people in the bedroom is extremely popular.

it is pretty popular for married women to keep lovers on the side because their husband aint doing the job. it aint right but men need to step up and treat their wives right and break them off something good. but you know women are never satisfied. that is the problem also, women give you man the chance to give you what you want, tell him what you want, communicate is important if youre married, be grown about it and stop sleeping around, then you wonder why men cheat...

My Dad and Grandfather set me up with a society where everything is equal. Thats great in the work world but yes. More girls have lovers. It a socioeconomic issue that puts men at a disadvantage. We are now expendable and replaceable. Thanks Dad.

Sure its great for a lady to behave this way. If a man were to ask the same question, He'd be heckled and called all kinds of names. You women really are two faced.

I have said this before and I will say say it again. Cheating IS NOT A GENDER BASED "CRIME" IT IS A CHARACTER BASED "CRIME". Men and women of all walks of life have the capactiy to cheat just as much as the other. It is the character and morals of the person that determine if they will or not.
