Are you sure it was just talking? Students don't normally get 5 days of in-school for just (constantly) talking in class.

If your situation is understandable then explain it to your parents, either way, it's better to tell them then to wait for them to find out - resulting in a probably even worse punishment.

The common thing to do is ditch it and take the chance no one will notice. The other thing to do is get your parents at a calm time and try to explain it to them. Don't drift from the subject (that will only make them ANGRY) tell it to them flat like you did to us.
I've also found leaving your parents a note is a good strategy too. You're grades are good? That should be most of what matters but some day you'll actually have to pay ATTENTION in class. Parents like truthful kids so they can trust them. Promise them you'll stop and you feel GUILTY, and I guarantee (unless you have weird parents) that they won't get too testy. ISS is punishment enough.

1. Be honest.
2. Tell your parents that you were wrong and understand that you deserved ISS for talking too much in class.
3. How are you going to make things right with your parents and teacher?
4. How are you going to stay out of trouble?

As a parent, the worst thing my child can do is make excuses or try to blame other kids to the teacher for their misbehavior so please do not do that. Also, when your parents are speaking to you, do not interrupt them.

I know you are scared but it is best to go ahead and get it over with. Good luck!

Well, first of all, Are your parents strict? Or Are you and your parents are in good terms with one another? If your parents are or seem like friends to you, Confide in them, tell them your troubles, And tell them you were wrong, and you will make it up to them, If you have strict parents that yell alot and actually beat you, Well, I would get a police officer off the street, And tell them what happened in front of the cop, But if your parents are cool, and not like that, I would fix your mom a nice breakfast, and cuddle up on sunday just the three of you, and cater to your fathers every needs and wants, And simply tell them the truth, They will love you for being honest and not hiding

well, just sit them down and tell them that you know it was wrong but you were talking in class didn't notice the teacher trying to talk over you and got caught. Tell them before the school calls or sends home a notice. and look at it this way, it may not look like it now, but it could be way worse.

You should wait till your parents are in a good mood. Afterwards, tell them the truth. Face it, they'll find find out sooner or later so you'll might as well tell them earlier Oh yeah, and don't talk back to them when they yell at you. Just remain calm...

Don't be a punk about it, and tell them. They'll find out about it sooner or later. The school will tell trust me. So you best beat the school to your parents.
