if you're looking for something that can hold like 500 to 2000 songs, you should get the iPod Nano. i have the 4 GB and it comes in handy. 500 songs, including pictures, games, and podcasts (no video), $150.00, 1000 songs, including pictures, games, and podcasts (no video), $200.00, 2000 songs, including pictures, games, and podcasts (no video), $250.00. if you want an iPod Video you can get 30 GB for the same pricing as the 8 GB iPod Nano. With that you can get Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, Video Podcasts, Pictures, Games, and 7500 songs. i recommend the 4 GB for starters. then you can go up, and if you get real serious with music and just want to get as much as you can get, you can go for the 80 GB iPod video. it includes all of the features as the 30 GB iPod Video ,but can hold 20000 songs.
i hope you have got all of the information you need and that i have helped you find what you are looking for.
