I would make 'death by dangerous driving' into a manslaughter charge. No one can bring my brother back, but the man who killed him last year is serving 18 weeks in prison - an insult!

I would ban all imigrants that can not speak the language of the country they have entered and are unable to financially support themselves. Why should my tax payments pay for people who have not contributed to the country I live in.
I disagree with those who say ban all abortions, there are medical reasons connected to the mother or baby when abortion really is the best answer. For those who get pregnant and dont want the baby because they cant be bothered to look after the child, I would refuse. The child could go to a good home of a couple that cant conceive.

I would issue everyone with a 2ft wooden pole and if some one cycled past you on the pavement and you DID no try and stick it in the front / back wheel you would be fined.
Death penalty for certain crimes - Why should the tax payer have to fork out to keep Ian Huntley (for example) in jail? There is no doubt that he is guilty, he will not contribute to society any more and there is no chance of him being released.
I would also repeal the law on eating mince pies on Christmas day.

I would add a law as follows: The government cannot impose costs on society to fund junk science. In order for this law to be repealed it must be approved by 100% of all eligible U.S. voters.
Another one I would add. In order to vote all otherwise eligible voters must have a basic understanding of simple economics.
Another one would be on campaign finance reform. Anyone considered a celebrity will not be allowed to contribute to any candidate for president of the US, Congressman or Senator without the signatures of 100% of all registered voters in the US.

I'd have to change a few.then re-create a few more to make up for the illogical ones I changed or eliminated. I'd begin with laws pertaining to child support..And make it MANDATORY for children concieved out of wedlock to be tested for parental legitimacy.

Never mind changing laws. How about changing the constitution back to its original state? That would make more sense to me. The thing has been rewritten so darn much that there is no constitution any more.

I would change the law that would mean rapists and child abusers get life where life means life and not just out in a few years for "good behaviour" - they are not capable of good behaviour

That's like looking at a huge buffet and wondering what you'll eat first. BTW, great question.
Over 60% of US prisoners are incarcerated because of drugs. Holding my breath I say legalize all of them. Use half the tax receipts to fund public rehab centers. We'll need them.

While I do like the idea of disposing all child molestors and rapists, I would have to say I would lift the ban on gay marriage. To me, that is by far the most ridiculous law on the books.

I would remove speed limits and set up snipers to shoot people in the head if they dawdle along all the time, i'd also make it a criminal offence to walk into the path of a vehicle, if you did that and damaged a vehicle i'd make you pay the motorist compensation. I'd also re-route all overseas aid into huge road building projects.
Oh and i'd make Ant & Dec illegal.
