how can i know my dell laptop is single core or double core?

The easiest way is to open Task Manager (can do this by right clicking the taskbar and selecting it from the menu), then click on the Performance tab.

If it's a double core and setup correctly to use them, you should see two CPU Usage History charts there instead of one!

look at the core and if there is 2 its double

Read your user manual or go to Dell's site and look up the tech specs for your model.

It may also be listed on your Invoice.
