I was looking at mascara and some were in the 'washable' category.. Don't other kinds of mascara wash off, too?

Waterproof mascara holds up against water. You need an eye makeup remover or cleanser in order to take it off. Washable mascara can come off with just water.

washable mascara means you can wash it out with water and soap... how you would typically wash it off. other mascaras need eye makeup remover.

washable means it washes off w/ water , other mascaras are waterproof , which only wash off w/ makeup remover =)

woter proof will still wash off, but it's much harder to and it won't come off by itself.
like if you're going to a pool party you'de want to wear waterproof, but washable is for everyday use.
