Erlang is a great language and will become more popular as multi core processors become the norm. Check out http://www.erlang.org, http://www.erlware.org, and erlyweb. Ruby and the ruby on rails platform is also pretty good for creating web sites.

Depends on what you're talking about.

If you mean like: "lol", "jk", etc. then you can go to urbandictionary.com

But if you mean things such as: "40 gb graphic cards", "20 pixel LCD's", etc. then your on your own. You just have to work with computers and you'll eventually figure it out. Also, if all else fails, try google and yahoo search.
