Bureaucracy and bad management have wasted millions in the NHS .With all the government interference setting stupid targets and having managers to manage managers managers its obvious something was going to go wrong. Its the staff on the floor in the NHS that know what is needed and how to fix it but the government is incapable of common sense and has to enter into a twelve month study on the simplest thing like what sort of welcome sign should be in a hospital entrance! Who cares if they cant afford to treat the patients?
Doctors and nurses have never been payed more but there hands are tied by red tape and week managers, this means they are badly supervised (everyone needs to know what , how and when they should be doing something and should be rewarded for there efforts) and moral is low.
When the hospital wards were run by no nonsense matrons, the places stank of bleach and you couldn't have 12 visitors round your bed MRSA didn't exist. So what does that say for a start? I pitty the NHS because all that will happen is that there will be more study groups paid more money to find out why there running out of money ......instead of common sense, get rid of the top heavy management and let the NHS run its self as a business would with no more government interference.

To start with the NHS is paying over the odds for all the drugs it needs. They do not realise this but the companies that supply them do and so to my mind they are guilty of theft. They are contributing to the problems that the NHS is facing.

I have thought for a long time that money is stolen from various institutions in the UK. How do we know they ever received the cash in the first place?

Because the money was squandered on Doctors pay, duff computer equipment, and more and more managers, alternatively the money wasn't there in the first place, more smoke & mirrors from Blair/Brown, they have often announced "new" money that has been announced before.
