yes i went at the end of last year. I had 1 injection which covered me for hep B and typhoid. The injection covers you for a year but if you get a booster in the same year it covers you for 20 years so it is worth getting. Make sure that you eat at well established places and drink only bottled water. In resorts and hotels the water is safe to brush your teeth with and take a shower but everything else i would use bottled. People feel ill and blame the water and the food but it is usually due to them not drinking enough water and having the air con on to low. but don't worry Egypt is brill i have been again and loved it and plan to go again just have fun!

You don't legally have to have them. You will not be denied entrance to Egypt because you don't have them but as someone in the Health Care profession I highly recommend them. You never know when you may be exposed to something you could have been immunized for. Check out the CDC and travel advisories for more information. If you stay more than 1 month you may need to have certain immunizations and an aids test done to extend the visa.

Rather than asking on Yahoo Answers where you will get a mixture of answers, speak to the professionals. They will know what you will need based on the area of Egypt you are going to and the current diseases and epidemics in Egypt. The NHS http://www.fitfortravel.scot.nhs.uk/ provides a basic summary of what is needed. However, I have found MASTA http://www.masta.org/ to be more reliable and more detailed. MASTA charge £3.49 and provide info on 10 countries. Don't skimp on the charge - after all, you've paid several hundred pound on your holiday and vaccinations and you are getting good quality information.
Also forgot to add that once you have this info, speak to your GP as they will be able to discuss the vaccinations in relation to you and your health.

They recommend that you get shots for yellow fever, Hepatitis A and B, Typhoid and Polio, but we went to morocco last year and didn't get any. I'm going to Egypt this summer and think I will get the shots this time - more for insurance purposes than anything. If anything should happen, then you're covered. They are free anyway and last for five years.

you are advised to have the usual tetanus etc but also typhoid and hep b. not yellow fever,, honest However i dont think its essential. i have known many people who havent had them. you need to mostly take care of your stomach, English people are very susceptible to tummy bugs. Best tip i can give you is if it looks dodgy then dont eat there and wash your hands...... a lot,,,,,, especially after you touch the money. You should be fine.
have fun its a great place and you must have 6 months left on your passport.

No you don't need injections, you should be fine, just don't drink the tap water. You can brush your teeth with it though it won't hurt you.
