How do I make a DVD of tivo to go shows using Sonic DigitalMedia LE v7?

I have a Dell inspiron with Windows XP media center edition.

I tried to use sonic and it was crap. It crashed my computer several times and never would work. I demanded my money back.

I then bought a DVD recorder for the TV. It was Best Buys own brand called Insignia. It hooks up and works like a VCR. The cable line runs from the wall to my Tivo then from Tivo to the DVD recorder. I start the recorded show and push the record button on the DVD-R. It records just like a VCR tape and can be played back on any DVD player that will play DVD Rs.
