Sounds like you and I have the same attitude toward skinny jeans. Remember tapered ankles? Yuck!!! Anyway, I am 31 and I love bootleg/flared leg jeans and slacks because they balance out my curves. I say wear whatever feels more comfortable to you and wear it like it's hot. If you feel like you don't look right or feel comfortable in whatever is "in", then it will still look dorky because you'll be fidgeting all the time. If you have bigger thighs and wider hips, the flared legs will definitely make you look more proportioned. Just make sure you wear the right length and rise, and try the dark wash. Stay true to yourself, no matter what.

Bootlegs are still flattering to almost every body type, so wear what works for you. I still wear bootcut jeans and everyone says I look cute (I'm 24 by the way). Skinny jeans only look good on people with no womanly curves, which is the main reason I refuse to wear them! So if you're not a size 0, stick to your bootcuts, you're not the only one!

I'm 25 years old, and I think bootcut jeans are very flattering. They fit nicely at the hip and thighs and also have a small flare (but not too much where you look like a teenager). I would recommend trying on bootcut jeans from Banana Republic or J. Crew in a dark wash. Dark denim looks good on everyone! In addition, look for jeans with a little bit of stretch. They will hug your curves nicely.
I also am not fond of skinny jeans. I wear dark denim slim straight cut jeans from Levi's. You may want to try a straight leg and see if you like it. It's slimming but not to the point where your jeans resemble leggings. Good luck!

No, bootleg jeans are actually good if you wear them with some boots. Just make them dark-wash, so your legs look thinner!

i like outfitted outfits. no longer large dishevelled, no longer large tight. yet outfits that suits. i do no longer prefer to work out denims/pants that appear like they are painted on nor do i prefer to work out you in some droopy dishevelled pair of paints. Too dishevelled of outfits definitely makes you seem fat. And the different is likewise real. Too tight, shows too lots and can reason muffin ideal....or abdomen roll for you adult adult males. neither is an appropriate seem. i like an outstanding button down shirt, maybe a t-shirt below neath, outfitted slacks or denims, and an outstanding pair of brown or black lace up shoes. via fact that i'm a preppy from the 80s, I gravitate in the direction of the clean decrease preppy guy.

Bootleg cut jeans are great, as long as they suit you. They are particularly flattering if you have curvier figure; they will balance out a larger bum!

No they are fine, if you don't have the body shape to fit into skinny jeans, you are right to not wear them! Wear what colours/shapes/and sizes that compliment your body, and you'll look fashionable no matter what.
