as much as i tend to agree with gore's position, that IS a funny joke, and so is LockBox and Ma-Bear-Pig.

as for the guy who's talking about inventing the internet, Al Gore was the guy who signed off on giving the team of computer geeks the ability to create the internet, so he DID help invent it. its kinda the same way the city planner helps to build a bridge, he might not be the guy who picks up a shovel, but he's the one that gets the ball rolling (especially since there was opposition at the time, and he helped make it happen, when it could have been brushed aside, and then people like you and me couldnt be doing this stuff right now.) and he's got a better sense of humor than Bush, btw, ever see the episodes of Futurama with Gore? he was completely making fun of himself. good stuff.

but, if he did melt it (i can play along with the joke), i think i'd be shaped into a vote counting machine (and rightfully so).

Yes and he will make a tree out of it.
There will be harmful emissions as he BURNS and melts the statue but a tree emits oxygen which counteracts his selfishness in the melting of his statue deary.
