Why are they given things for free when they can afford to buy it?

They are given things (espically designer things) because it is free advertisement for the brand. If people see a celeb in a designers clothes it is the ultimite in adverstings and will make others want to be like them and wear it. Same goes for jewelry and electronics they are often given at premires. They do have to pay a gift tax which is often 40% of whatever the package was worth.

I don't think no celebrity should be given anything for free. Not with the money they're getting paid.

no way, Louis vuitton gives things away to them for free, but i guess that if i owned a company like that i would want someone who is on magazines and TV for free advertisement?.....The company's should pick 100 ppl each year who can't afford their products and give them free, ppl would talk about it for years, that is not only good Carma it is good business!..............................................................................................The person above me is very rude! Sorry, but it is very rude to speak that way, and the majority of the time people do not use the correct spelling, it takes forever and is useless. Well i think they should get things free if there from there sponsors but like i agree if they have enough money they will most likely pay for it thereselves otherwise they just don't like spending money?

i think they should give us things for free and even everyone out financialy they are to stuckup i mean they refuse to play in certain movies cause it dont pay enough

i think cause if they attend a party and then theyre given something for free they will remember that and attend that party again and it will be good publicity for that party.
